Migrating rosters from Jabberd to Wildfire using LDAP?

Hi,

We are in the process of moving from Jabberd to Wildfire. We are using the same LDAP server for authentication on both systems (so the same users). I would like to migrate the users’’ rosters to Wildfire but the Migration option says that migration is not supported with the users in LDAP. Has anybody been successful in this sort of migration, and perhaps have some tips or even a tool? We’'re running on CentOS Linux.

Hi Mario,

A number of months back I made some changes to the User Import/Export plugin that would allow it work with LDAP installations of Wildfire. I sent it to a couple of people for testing but I never received any feedback so I never released it. If you’‘d be interested in testing send me a private message with your email address and I’'ll ship it of to you.

I did a migration from ejabberd and we also use LDAP to authenticate our users.

I just desactivated LDAP the time needed by the import script. Then, I enabled LDAP again and it worked.
