you might have a filter issue. check you base dn and search filters. are you missing users outside of either?

How to filter?
the search filters are in openfire. If you used the defaults, than likely your issue in your base dn setting in openfire.
I used the default but my DN is DC=xxxx, DC=yy.
i have many group. but i don’t know what filter used.
