Is possible to creat a mixed environment, I mean: openfire (internal) users + ldap users?

I’m looking at doing the same thing. I want to use internal (to Openfire / localhost) for various services and then continue using LDAP for my real users.
If you find anything, let me know…
I believe it may be possible by using two openfire servers, one with LDAP and another one with local.
then setup server to server communication.

That would make sense, but seems a bit over kill. When logging into the admin console I see that I can create users, however it shows that it’s read only (assuming due to the AD integration) …
Using the 2nd server is definitely a back up option…
