MSN - Can't send messages

This is openfire 3.6.3 on debian, I setup a new openfire install, registered on msn, everything worked perfectly, I can recieve messages, I can add users, I can have other users add me and get the authorization fine.

Even the “this user is sending you a message” notification works both ways. However, I can’t send messages.

Yeah I know, odd, there’s no firewall outbound.

Any ideas whatsoever here?

In grasping at straws I’ve tried adding a gtalk user from my jabber server, and that works fine and I can send messages to that. I’ve also tried different msn accounts in hopes that it’d be some block server side preventing my test user from sending messages.

When sending sup to a msn contact I see this in the debug log:

00000000h: 4D 49 4D 45 2D 56 65 72 73 69 6F 6E 3A 20 31 2E ; MIME-Version: 1.

00000060h: 0D 0A 73 75 70 ; …sup

So it looks like the message is getting sent, it’s just not recieved by any user.

The IM Gateway is no longer supported here. to get support goto http://kraken.blathersource.org/. Development/distrobution was moved to that location.
