Multiple groups

Good morning,

We are using Openfire 3.2.3 on Windows 2000 Server with a SQL database. Spark 2.0.8 is the client side. For authentication, we are using LDAP to our AD. Currently, users that are allowed to access Openfire are in an AD group called “Wildfire”. This is all working fine, however, we would like to add other existing AD groups into the mix.

Ideally, the roster would be split into the predefined AD groups. Is there any way to allow multiple AD groups access without adding the entire AD into the roster? Nesting is not a requirement if there is away to specify multiple groups within the Openfire config.

Got it, just share the AD groups with other AD groups (or all users) in Openfire and add users who need access to the “Wildfire” group.
