Multiple Lanching of Spark Required to Connect Properly

I’ve seen this issue mentioned without resolution, but thought I’d bring it up again.

OpenFire: 3.6.4 under Windows Server 2003 SP2/SQL 2000

Spark: 2.58

OS: Vista 32-bit

When testing with either the embedded or SQL 2000 database, users will occasionally need to exit and relaunch Spark in order to be able to send and receive messages first thing upon logon. I don’t see anything in the local error or warn logs when this happens, although I noticed they are time stamped today when the issue did happen on one client.

Side Question: Should all of the SQL updates in the resources folder be applied?

Give it a try with 2.6.0 RC1 version http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/beta.jsp

Those SQL updates should be applied automatically when upgrading your server. No need to do them manually.

Thanks wroot. I had the same issue with Openfire 3.7.0 and the beta client, so dropped back. I have not tried the beta client with Openfire 3.6.4, but not sure it would help
