Hello, I just installed this server on a Server 2003 and I got through integrating it with LDAP (AD) ok.
But if I go to make a user, I see this:
Not allowed: the user account system is read-only.
So … how the heck do you make users?
LDAP support is considered read-only. It is assumed that you add users to ldap via some other means. For example, with AD they are the users already on your system. The technical reasons for not adding users is due to the complexity that LDAP allows- its impossible for Openfire to know how to construct full user objects without having good knowledge of the schema involved. Implementing all that would basically be a whole different project in itself.
