I’m trying to get a Jabber server on a local network, and hoped Openfire would work. Long ago I used Jive’s version and it was fine.
I installed the server and set up two test users. Everything seemed OK.
I logged in one user (A) on a Linux machine with Gajim, and A shows up in the admin window. I logged in the other (B) on another Linux machine with Pidgin, and that user shows up in the admin window. But when A sends a message, B does not receive it.
Where do I begin to fix this?
