Open-source XMPP server comparison chat (not only JM related)

Hi,

there is a chart that compares the six big open source XMPP servers,

today I’'ve uploaded the new version which also includes some updates

on Jive Messenger (thanks Matt): http://www.jabber.org/admin/jsc/

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Regards,

Frank

havent read all, but

chart description says “five” servers

JM developers. Well, Matt and Gaston are the main, but maybe there is someone else at Jive Software contributing to JM code? Bill is coding JM forum only? Barry is working with Xiff, well not really a part of JM, but you can combine these parts together. Well, never mind:)

Derek here at Jive Software also contributes some code to Jive Messenger as well. However, the biggest shout-out has to go out to Ryan Graham (who’'s not affiliated with Jive Software)-- his work on plugins and general bug fixes have been great additions to Jive Messenger for the past couple of releases.

Thank you for your kind words, Matt.

Hey,

I’'ve changed five to six servers and Ryan is now listed as contributor on the developer-row.

Thanks

Frank

BTW is there a page or a forum-thread for the plugin developers where they can exchange informations or publish their work? (I know of http://jivesoftware.org/messenger/plugins.jsp but that’'s more for users/admins, something like this for the developers?)

Hi Frank,

There isn’'t really a forum dedicated to plugin development, everything just kind of falls into the Messenger Support and Dev areas. Going forward I believe new plugins will be announced in the url=http://www.jivesoftware.org/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=45News[/url] forum.

Hope that helps,

Ryan

PS - Thanks for including me in XMPP server comparison chart.
