Hey Bruce,

The best way to see what is going on with server-2-server connections is to enable the debug log and see what the servers are doing. You can post the information here if you cannot figure it out.

Regards,

– Gato

I hope this info can shed some light on whats happening but I do think the server to server is working fine as I have two way connections shoing up in sessions and I have chatters from other server joining my chatrooms ok.sorry about logs display I just coped and pasted .And my chat service is chat.kingshomeworld.com

Bruce

I see this in your logs:

Error trying to connect to remote server: at(DNS lookup: at:5269)

Are you sure sessions were created ok?

server session arrows are going in both directions and switching back and forth all day long roster sessions with contacts have been doing today with chat buddys from different servers just chat rooms have had chatters in my chat rooms from other servers this only happens when I try to connect to other chatroom services other than mine and conference.ingnitrealtime.org both of them work is very puzzling mite just be something dum like host look up>Ihave restarted my network and modem three or so times go figure

could be,

still there are TLS connection issues in your logs and a lot of exceptions caught. Try to verify your configurations and make sure all servers in this setup can handle TLS.

both server and client side are set in security setting to defalt optional. All the other openfire versions had them to but still work I swith to 3.4.5 and it has some of them to but always works to

The only interesting thing about your logs is the inability to create tls connection. After it has failed, there are a lot of error messages in your log. Perhaps you can validate with openssl that the servers involved can open tls connection to one another.

As I reported in http://www.igniterealtime.org/community/thread/32278?tstart=0 , I am experiencing the same problem: s2s works fine for all operations, but MUC fails. I can browse the conference rooms on conference.jabber.org, talk to contacts on jabber.org, but am unable to join a MUC on conference.jabber.org. Same goes with other (non-openfire) domains. I haven’t yet tried with any other openfire server, but connecting to igniterealtime MUCs does work.

AFAICT, There is nothing interesting in the logs, except:

2008.04.10 12:43:05 Logging off conference.jabber.org on org.jivesoftware.openfire.net.SocketConnection@12c50

8f socket: Socket[http://addr=/208.68.163.214,port=35981,localport=5269|http://addr=/208.68.163.21 4,port=35981,localport=5269] session: org.jivesoftware.openfire.session.

LocalIncomingServerSession@76b33 status: -1 address: conference.jabber.org id: 2fc245cb

you can rooms list from conference.jabber.org then you got one better than me Icant even get that

Woops, my mistake, I can’t browse rooms at all. I can browse the jabber.org server.

Yes, I also reported this exact same problem: http://www.igniterealtime.org/community/thread/32278?tstart=0 (this thread includes a dump of my debug log)

It is occurring on BOTH of my jabber servers that I upgraded to 3.5.0.

s2s MUC is broken while all other s2s services seem to be working.
