Openfire 3.6.4 Linux / apache / JWChat setup problems

Hope this is the right place to ask this…

I set up openfire 3.6.4 on my CentOS box using the rpm provided here.

openfire runs unsing the built in database and standard ports.

Webadmin interface is reachable and works

I installed the Spark 2.5.8 client on various Win-machines and users can nconnect without problems

Next thing on my todo list is getting a web client to work with the openfire. Instead of using SparkWeb, I’d like to use JWChat as it suits my users needs better.

My box is running apache 2.2.3. I installed JWChat on it and tried to get the settings right, but without luck so far. I’m able to open the JWChat page, input my credentials and click “Login”. Afterwards, the chat-window opens but gives me a “Service unavailable” error.

Could someone be so kind to guide me through the troubleshooting? I’m happy to provide more information, logs, etc. if needed.

Base on what I just saw trying to install from ports on FreeBSD 8.1-REL JWchat 1.0 is not supported on Apache 2.x

** Stop in /usr/ports/net-im/jwchat.**

Try with Apache 1.3.x
