Hi, I’m using openfire on Debian Lenny with JRE 1.6, and the user lists are not updating as they should, this is really really annoying and it’s making users want to go back to skype. I went to all the configuration options I could think of and the problem persists, I still don’t gave up on Openfire but I’m starting to think in alteratives.
Did so many things that I don’t know where to start.
Please I need a solution for this

I found the solution to my problem.
I’m using LDAP for auth and names, and the hole thing doesn’t work if the posix mode is not enabled, woluld be good to add this to the documentation.

Not sure, but i have found such lines in the documentation:
ldap.posixMode ** – a value of “true” means that users are stored within the group by their user name alone. A value of “false” means that users are stored by their entire DN within the group. If this property is not set, the default value is false. The posix mode must be set correctly for your server in order for group integration to work. Posix modes for common LDAP servers:
