Hi Peeps,
We setup our Openfire 3.7.1 on a 2008 R2 box and all works beautifully…or at least did.
We wanted the user JID’s to mirror their actual username so we renamed the server and boom, the admin console has politley informed us our credentials are no longer valid
don’t really want to go through the setup again, is there a fix for this?
I have read a few articles that describe editing the database and the openfire.xml but no joy, and also this is/was a bug (can’t find a trace of the announcement)
If anyone can help fix this, we’d be very grateful
