I recently performed a clean installation of Openfire 3.7.1 on Linux Mint 13 Maya (kernel version 3.2.0-23-generic) following the installation guide in the documentation:
/etc/init.d/openfire start
I expect Terminal to give Starting openfire:
as output, but nothing happens.
I have double-checked that the openfire init script is indeed located in /etc/init.d
WTF???
