Openfire as a service incorrect password

Hi,

I have installed Openfire on a Windows 2008 R2 server. After the installation which was successful I ran the command to install Openfire as a service. That worked as well.

Once the service was started users were prompted that their passwords where incorrect. I am using AD integration. I stopped the Openfire service and just ran the Openfire software and now users can login.

Do I need to do something else?

I know this is an old one but I had the same problem with Openfire 3.7.1 and Windows 2008 r2. Thought others might see this and apreciate how I resolved. When I installed OpenFire as a service, the install worked and the service started but no one could login thru Spark using their AD credentials. When the service installed, it installed with a local system account as the login. I changed the logon account to an account with higher permissions for both the network and for openfire and no more problems
