I have installed Openfire 3.7.1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 x64
its in the install guide, but run the command from the openfire/bin folder
openfire-service /install

openfire-service /uninstall
Yes, i know but service does not work.
After run openfire console i get:
"Error creating server listener on port 5269: Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 0: JVM_Bind
Openfire 3.7.1 [2012-09-27 12:26:46]
Konsola administracyjna nas³uchuje na:
Starting Client Control Plugin
Starting Monitoring Plugin
Error starting server listener on port 5269: null"
I installed a while ago Openfire on a Windows Server 2008 R2 for a couple of unrelated test. It worked fine.
The problem is probably something else. Check if the firewall is enabled for example.
the service works fine on 64bit. Most likely it is your firewall or how you configured the openfire server.
Wow, I finally got it!!!
The problem was that I the service was not on the firewall!!! One have to add the service to the firewall…
To bad that in installation procedure helper in the ignite site doesn’t refer nothing about this…
