We have multi production sites.
We are using openfire & fastpath for live chat with helpdesk.
we’ve installed duplicate configuration on 2 sites where one is active and the second is in standby as a backup. Each with its own MySql DB. User authentication is done via external file.
For DR we looked on clustering but it is good for intra site only. We’ve also looked on server-to-server communication but we have the same users in both sites. Having to update the configuration on both sites is not reliable. We could do MySql replication BUT the machines have different domain-name = server-name.
Any comments? suggestions?
