Openfire Java 6 Support?

I’ve poked around the docs and forums and I haven’t been able to find an answer, so I thought I’d ask. Does the current version of Openfire (3.5.2) support JRE 6?

Hi Dylan,

Yes, Openfire does support Java 6. In fact, Java 6 is recommended whenever possible. See this thread for more info.

Sure, my server is running with JDK 1.6.0_07. I’m using 1.6 for a long time now and never had problems. However, I have not tried that new OpenJDK.
