Attempting to configure LDAP connection settings for Openfire on Windows SBS 2003 Server.
I have created a user called openfire that I hope to use as the administrator for Openfire.
For “Server Type:” I have selected Active Directory
For “Host:” I have the ip address of the sbs server
“Port:” is set to 389
“Base DN:” is set to: ou=SBSUsers,ou=Users,ou=MyBusiness; dc=domain,dc=local
“Administrator DN:” is set to: cn=openfire,ou=SBSUsers,ou=Users,ou=MyBusiness; dc=domain,dc=local
When I test settings, I receive:
Error authenticating with the LDAP server. Check supplied credentials.
I belive the problem may be with my Base DN settings or Administrator DN settings. Any help is appreciated.
