Openfire logs are erased/overwritten after restarting openfire service

Hi All,

We have two openfire instances(in different servers) running with clustered enabled. Yesterday both instances reported high memory consumption(18 GB each), After restarting the openfire service in one service, we did not fing earlier logs.

Question 1: Does log files(info,warning,error) has max size limits?
Question 2: Is anywhere in openfire logs limit can be configured? so that after reaching the max limit openfire will overwrite the logs.

you can configure logging in the log4j2.xml which can be located in openfire/lib/ directory

it is log4j version 2 Log4j – Configuring Log4j 2

after editing the file you have to restart openfire…
