OpenFire 3.7.1-1 with IM Gateway (1.1.3Beta3) on Cent OS5.6 i386 - Java shuts down randomly without warning or error. Tried a non-beta version of IM Gateway with same results. The OF server is running as a service. Help!
Do you use a dedicated or VMware server or do you run Openfire on a shared/hosted server?
Maybe linux kills your process because of excessive memory usage, this would be logged in /var/log/messages.
You could enable a verbose GC log of the JVM to get a deeper insight or replace the JVM with 1.6.0_31 unless you already use the newest 1.6.
