Openfire service not available after 3.5.0 to 3.5.1 upgrade

I preformed an upgrade from Openfire 3.5.0 to 3.5.1. After the upgrade, the only way I could get the Openfire server to work again was to start was as follows;

  • Make sure the service is not started

  • Run the Open The openfire Server from the start menu

  • Start the service

If I stop the graphical program run from the start menu, such as logging my user off or Xing out of it, Openfire Server no longer works, though the service is still running.

I rolled it back to 3.5.0 and all is fine, but would any insight.

I am having a similar issue. I have gotten 3.5.1 to work by removing all pluggins, then reinstalling 3.5.1. Spark will allow users to login, but I am getting database errors. MySQL. I have not seen any documentation about upgrading MySQL for this Openfire update. Since the update i am unable to use the Admin console because of the Database errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the error log file.
