Openfire session replication on node fail over

we have a situation of open fire load balancing where if there is a node failure will the existing user connections shift to the second node ??
is it auto handled by the open fire or it has to be forced through coding??
openfire version used : 4.1.4
smack version : 4.2.0

Nope, TCP sessions have to be re-established to the server.
