Openfire Update and SQL Database

hello,

Openfire 3.9.3 (32 Bit) with SQL Server ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Openfire)
Installer Openfire 4.3.2 (64 Bit) (C:\Program Files\Openfire)

I don’t want to backup the database (Azure Database 500 GB).

Does the installer change the database during the installation?
Can I prevent this?
If I update the database manually and set the script version, doesn’t Openfire installer change the database?

It is high recommended to create a backup.

The update scripts are part of the distribution. They are numbered. The ofVersion database table holds the version of the last update that is installed. Upon start, Openfire will run all other updates.

If you manually execute the updates prior to starting Openfire, Openfire should not make further modifications.
