Openfire won't start

Hey All,

I just downloaded the software and installed it however cant seem to get the service to start. I’ve been digging around google for some time but it appears my googling is weak. Any have any idea why the service just wont start or how I should diagnose this?.

I have a Centos 5 64 bits

  1. I try installing openfire

rpm -ivh openfire-3.9.1-1.i386.rpm

  1. I got this error while installing

Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.

Can not sure execute /usr/local/jdk/bin/java.
  1. I went into openfire to change the java_home path to the one below which is where I have my java installed

vi /etc/sysconfig/openfire

JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.7.0_51

  1. I was expecting that that was all but when I type “service openfire start” nothing happens

Please, help me.
