Port unreachable in Media Proxy

I have a problem when send udp message to udp port that media proxy of openfire created.

When I set xmpp.domain property to be IP such as 192.168.1.130, it was working correctly.

But if I set xmpp.domain to be Host name such as dev4, I can’t send UDP message to destination port

Please help me I stuck the problem for 2 weeks

oh, I think I already read another post from you.

can you tell me how you used the proxy? which configuration did you made on your client?

thx

I think one of the last patches they attached to Openfire Media Proxy was broken in that sense, using DNS SRV to set Media Proxy IP. WHich is not always true.

For now I advise you to run the MediaProxy in a Public IP Server.
