Ports Spark Uses?

I want to use Spark externally and point it to a public IP address, do some port forwarding, etc so I don’t have to use VPNs.

Any problems seen with this?

I should just need the ports used.

Also if it helps- I am using OpenFire on the server.

Hi,

Spark usually connects to the XMPP server, and most servers use the port 5222. For outgoing connections you likely do not need port forwarding, opening this port in a firewall should be fine.

Or do you want to connect to your Openfire server and create NAT entries for it? Also there port 5222 would be the one to look at.
