We are going to use Jive Messenger for Instance Messaging at our company. However since people are sometimes outside of your internal network we need to expose the Jive Messenger Server and Port to public.
How could we prevent unauthorized parties then creating accounts on our server and hence listen or spam the network? Is there a way to configure Jive Messenger Server so that only admin account has rights to create new users.

In the Admin Console, under the Server Settings there is the “Inband Account Registration” you need to set it to “Disabled - Users can not automatically create new accounts.” as well the “Anonymous Login”.
