Problem login to spark

hi guys,

i installed openfire on my windows vista box .after installation complete i launched openfire server and launched also the admin page at url http://127.0.0.1:9090

i finished configuration of oepnfire via web admin page , then logged in to openfire admin page and all was fine.

then i installed spark IM client .i launched it and then clicked create account :

i entered new username and password .and in server field i typed : http://127.0.0.1:5222

i then got a progress bar in create new account dialogwindow.then the program stays endlessly displaying this progress bar .i waited for about 5 or 10 mins…nothing happened!

am i doing something wrong?

is the server address ip i provided correct , (i tried many ports 9090,9091,7070 etc…) but same prob: endless progress bar !

any help is appreciated.

In the server entry box, you don’t need to add a port, you only need to enter the server as: 127.0.0.1 or other examples would be: domain.com, example.com, myserver.com, etc…
