Problem with Presence Plugin

Hi,

I downloaded the Presence Plugin and installed it like described in the readme file. I restarted the openfire server and the webbrowsers.

  1. I did not found the “Presence Service” link unter the tab-server -> sidebar-server-setting in the Openfire Admin Console, so I can not configure the plugin.

  2. the websites

http://127.0.0.1:9090/plugins/presence/status and

http://127.0.0.1:9090/plugins/presence/status?jid=testuser1@myopenfireserver

give an empty page in Firefox, and an HTTP 404 Error, File not found in MSIE.

(testuser1@myopenfireserver is a registred user on my servermyopenfireserver).

Can you please help me?

thank you in advance.

What version of Openfire are you using compared with the Plugin version?

org/jivesoftware/wildfire/container/Plugin

Are you using Wildfire? Because of the name change, the newest presence plugin requires Openfire 3.3.0 or higher.

I would highly recommend to update your old wildfire, because of some security fixes. However there should be an old version of the presence plugin available. (sorry, I don’t have a link)

Coolcat

Openfire 3.3.2

Presence Plugin

You need to download the latest copy of the Presence plugin to work with your version of Openfire.

Thank you. Problem is solved.
