Proxy Dilemma: Needed for plug-in registry and check for updates

We must specify a proxy server to access the Jive plug-in registry but I cannot access the Wildfire server located within our corporate intranet when a proxy server is specified. This is also affects “Check for Updates” feaure.

Recommend using the same approach that Firefox and IE have taken by allowing a user to specify the domains or IP’'s that do not require the proxy server.

You should just be able to specify the HTTP proxy, without it affecting your client connection. Does that work?
