When I restart Openfire 4.5.4 all leaf nodes will be lost but collection nodes stay persisted. Is that a desired behavior? I’m not sure if it is fixed in 4.6.0 . Is it related to https://igniterealtime.atlassian.net/browse/OF-2086 ? I use the internal Openfire DB.
If your node is configure to persist data, then data should not be lost.
A lot of changes went into 4.6.0. My advice is to try that first.
