I recently renamed the server when I was making updates - since I moved servers from the original. I had originally left it alone since everything was still working, well today I renamed it and now can’t log into the admin console with my credentials. What should I do?
In the folder conf on Openfire’s directory there should be a file named openfire.xml
Edit the file and search for the line true
Change the true for false
Then reboot the server. Now you can reconfigure the server including the admin account and password.
It worked great! Just a note that you will have to reconfigure everything - LDAP set up and all.
