I seem to have my connections authenticating against an external mysql database however i’m wondering - it appears that authentication will NOT take place unless the username being authenticated is already registered in the openfire user table.
Is this true ? and if so - how can i bypass the apparent requirement to ‘register’ a user before authentication will take place ?
