How do I get the RosterPacket.ItemStatus from the RosterPacket?? This is important as it reveals whether or not the “ask” attribute is “subscribe” or “unsubscribe” (although I might be able to get by without knowing it).

I think what you want is the RosterPacket.ItemType which indicates if the subscription is ‘‘pending’’ (ask’'d), or a from, to, or both subscription type.
