RPM thinks wildfire is source rpm

Hi,

I’'ve got a server with Mandriva 2007.0 and the problem that the command “rpm -ivh wildfire_3_0_1.rpm” leads to the following output:

error: source package contains no .spec file

rpm -ivvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvh wildfire_3_0_1.rpm leads to:

D: ============== wildfire-3_0_1.rpm

D: Expected size: 22759960 = lead(96)*sigs(68)*pad(4)+data(22759792)

D: Actual size: 22759928

D: added source package

D: found 1 source and 0 binary packages

D: Expected size: 22759960 = lead(96)*sigs(68)*pad(4)+data(22759792)

D: Actual size: 22759928

error: source package contains no .spec file

My rpm-Version is 4.4.6 on Mandriva 2007.0. Any suggestions?

have you attempted to install the 3.0.0 version from RPM. Just to fnid out if it sees all Wildfire rpms as source or just the 3.0.1 version.

I’'ve got the same message trying to install the Versions 3.0.0 and 2.6.2.

Furthermore it would be interesting to know why the RPM has no summary, no build host, no source rpm and no description tag !?

Hi,

I’'ve repackaged the RPM with my RPM version and now it works.

Thanks for the answers…

Hi,

How do you rebuild the rpm?
