Im assuming this is answered elesewhere, but Im not using the correct search terms. Is it possible to generate a message to a user via email? We use a troubleticket system that emails ticket updates to users. They never check their emails, but spark is always up. I would like to have the ticket system send that email to the spark messenger so it pops up on their screen when there is a ticket update.
Why not make them check the email with some strict policies? What if they decide not to check IM too someday The only closes thing i find is the Email Listener plugin http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/openfire/plugins.jsp But it is for IMAP and i think it will send messages for all listed users when new message is found in the inbox.
