We have an issue with the jive_messenger server.
We’'re running Jive_Messenger as community chat, and we auto-login/register members.
Then members can only use (through flash client) MUC-chat, which all works great.
We have a big issue where the chat ‘‘freezes’’ for 10-120 seconds, without any cpu-load.
Also the database we use (Mysql) has no load and seems to be doing nothing at all during the freeze.
It seems users can still pass messages to the server, and all users receive them at once when the server is out the ‘‘freeze’’. This problem happens for all users at the same time, so it doesn’'t seem to be a client related problem.
We tested connection problems of the server also, but the server is working great during a freeze.
We’'re running Jive messenger 2.2.2 with a modified AuthProvider on a Linux 2.6.11-gentoo-r4 #13 SMP Tue Apr 26 14:32:54 CEST 2005 i686 Intel® Xeon™ CPU 3.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux machine.
