Just wondering if anyone else out there had thought of some of the possibilities afforded by the SIP phone plugin. I run a 400 seat call center and have been thinking of utilizing the softphone plugin to replace our existing softphones and allow for centralized management of all of our accounts. What would make things even sweeter would be to use LDAP/Active Directory to store our SIP information (such as inbound/outbound proxy, SIP username, etc).
Just curious if anyone else had thought of this and/or if I could recommend this feature be added. Also, if anyone’s used the SIP plugin for anything interesting (especially relating to corporate and/or call center applications) I’d love to hear about it.
