Is there any plan to extend/ modify smack to speak jabber:server:accept or jabber:server:connect protocols? Not that either is much but currently the jabber:client namespace is hardwired into the stream (and there’'s no provision for the handshake of course.)

No, there are no plans to implement any of the server protocols in Smack. It’'s really intended as a client library.
