My second question is: does Smack runs on IE/MSJVM ?

I don’'t think it will work since the default JVM that comes with the IE is very old (1.1.4?) and smack requires Java2. You can always use the Java Plug-in to overcome this problem. You can follow this other link The Jive Employee Engagement Platform 67666#67666[/url] for more information.
