SmackConfiguration "reply timeout" questions

I have a couple questions regarding the “reply timeout” that you can set through the SmackUtility class:

  1. Does “SmackUtility.setReplyTimeout()” apply to the initial connection to the server?

  2. In Smack 1.3.0 is the default reply timeout set to 5000 ms. as in Smack 1.4.0?

Sorry - I typed “SmackUtility” a couple of times, but meant “SmackConfiguration”.
