Sounds in Webchat

We would like to have our end users receive a sound when using the webchat client.

We put the settings in the Webchat Sounds page of the Spark Fastpath configuration. The webchat client still does not play any sounds when receiving a message. Any ideas?

What browser are you using to run the webchat client?

We’‘ve tried it on Firefox 1.5 on Linux, Mac, and Windows. We’'ve also tried Internet Explorer 6.0.2900 on Windows.

Thad,

It looks as if this feature depends on local browser settings and plugins. I was able to get it to work on Internet Explorer 6.0.2900. Let me do a little more research and I will post what I think is needed.

Presently i am using openfire 3.6.3 and spark 2.5.8 and in webchat play sounds works fine in safari browser …[incomming and outgoing] both but firefox and ie 6 i am unable play outgoing sound…
