Spark 2.5.8 - Is there a way to disable "check for updates"?

My users are getting prompted to upgrade to Spark 2_6_3 (See attached image) this morning when they logon to Spark. At this time, we do not want them to upgrade and we would like eliminate them recieving the upgrade message. Is this possible and, if so, how can it be done?

Also, is there a way to grey-out the “Check for Updates” option under the Help menu?

You can go to Spark > Preferences > Notifications and disable Check for updates. You can’t disable Check for updates menu with 2.5.8 version.
