Spark + Antivirus Software

This is a wierd issue.

We use mcafee asap for virus protection. Users lately have been reporting unusable systems when starting and stopping spark. Upon further investigation I have found that McShield.exe process takes 100% CPU when starting and stopping Spark. I think a work arround could be excluding files from virus scan but I am not sure which ones I should do. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas?

is it possible that the users have very large and a lot client log files? They are stored in %userprofile%\Spark\

the logs are tiny - like 20KB

I excluded the spark directory and itwas fixed… Not sure this is the best way to go… but if anyone finds anything out let me know.
