The macintosh version has the same security flaw as the linux version. See http://www.igniterealtime.org/forum/thread.jspa?threadID=25514&tstart=25. Unfortunately since the startup program is a binary instead of a shell script I can not as easily work around the problem. I’'m writing a wrapper program that sets the umask and then calls the program.
