Spark Fastpath Webchat - Open Source?

Is the Spark Fastpath Webchat plugin going to be open sourced? If so when is the timelime for its release?

thanks

Hi,

did you miss it in SVN? I have no idea whether http://www.igniterealtime.org/fisheye/changelog/svn-org/openfire/trunk/src/plugi ns/fastpath is contains all files but one may guess that it does.

Thanks for the response it2000.

I can download the plugin from here http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/openfire/plugins.jsp

The page says it is still commerical. I was wondering if it would ever be open sourced.

Hi,

if it’s in SVN then it’s open source, even if the license is still documented as commercial. I guess that http://www.igniterealtime.org/index.jsp contians more recent information.

Hello all,

Thre is no such code for Webchat plugin in the SVN.

I think it isn’t open source yet.

Hi Thiago,

I wonder what http://www.igniterealtime.org/fisheye/browse/svn-org/smack/trunk/apps/webchat/so urce/java/org/jivesoftware/webchat is.

I went to http://svn.igniterealtime.org/svn/repos with Tortoise and only got this far in the path you had in the url. (smack/trunk/)

This is no apps directory in the repository i am looking at. Should I be using a different repository?

thanks

Ultimately you can use the Spark Fastpath Webchat plugin that is in the list of available plugins. It does not require the enterprise plugin anymore, but does require the fastpath plugin. That is the part of the enterprise plugin that it required to work correctly before. The Spark Fastpath Webchat plugin has no code in it that looks for an enterprise license as far as I can tell. Works great for me.

thanks for the response. I installed the Fastpath Webchat and it didn’t seem like it needed any license. So it looks like you are correct about it not being Commercial even though it is listed there in the application.
