En la empresa donde trabajo utilizamos spark, hemos tenido unos problemas con el y, además de cambiar el servdor a otra pc, necesitamos dividir nuestro switch en distintas VLANS por motivos de seguridad. Lo que necesitaría saber es: Si coloco el servidor OpenFire en una pc que se encuentra en una vlan distinta a las de los usuarios que utilizan spark, este funcionará correctamente? O deberìa colocar obligatoriamente a usuarios y servidor en la misma vlan? Existe alguna forma (por ejemplo usando tags en los puertos del switch al momento de armar las vlans) de dejarlos en vlans separadas y que funcione? Lo que quieren realizar en la empresa es separar mediante vlans la red administrativa con la red operativa. Lo que necesito es que aún así ambas puedan chatear mediante spark.
There is no answer for this probably. I suspect there could be problems with file transfers, but other than that you can only find out by testing. Install a test Openfire server in a different VLAN and try connecting with a few Spark test users from the other VLAN and see how it works.
Tengo mi OpenFire y Spark en una red, pero en otra vLan tengo otras PC con Spark IM pero me funciona bien el chat, pero la transferencia de archivos no.

1)Try turning off the firewall on both computers, maybe some ports are blocked by antivirus or OS
2)Try disable IBB, in Spark 2.9.x, file transfer breaks after reconnection. This is fixed in the unreleased Spark 3.0.0
3)It also helped me to specify the file transfer proxy.
