First, I don’t know much about the workings of Openfire/Spark other than we keep dropping our connection here in the office. Occasionally, we don’t drop the connection, but we won’t receive any Spark messages that others send. When I checked the server to see what might be going on, I noticed errors in the Openfire console (see attachment). Any ideas?
Sounds like the memory leak issue
In your server properties, set xmpp.pep.enabled to false
We just now had another issue with not receiving messages. I’ll give your suggestion a try and see how things go from there. Thanks!
I was updating one our servers today and when I got to the one that has Openfire on it, I noticed an awful lot of red text. I don’t know if it’s a related issue or a new one altogether, but can anyone make sense of this (see attachment)?
UPDATE (6-12-2012): Still getting errors (see 2nd attachment).
Check if you have only one Openfire instance running. I see that you are using Launcher, but maybe you have also installed it as a service? Then there maybe a conflict.
Yep. I checked and the service was running in the background. Hopefully that solved our problem. Thanks!
