Hi,

I’ve been tesing openfire off and on for about 2 years for my work. They have finally decided to allow me to get some testing done so my question:

Is there a plugin to use that will allow only a toast broadcast to display I dont need the chat function for most of the company just a broadcast to about 6000 people. IT, Helpdesk and few other functional departments would need chat while the other 5K people just need a popup for broadcasting messages?

Is this something that can be done?

Sorry if this is not clear let me know and I will try to clarify.

If I understand you correctly I think this feature is already built in. All you need to do is choose to send an “alert notification” instead of the default “normal message” when you create a broadcast message.
